*WINNER WINNER*…CHICKEN DINNER…

Special thanx to Lojak Religion, Full Tilt Poker, Waterhouse Management for funding this training camp.

After a tough 8 week training camp, I beat Alan Fenandes in the first round.

Alan came into the fight with a 14-3 professional MMA record- his manager Daniel Isaac did a good job of promoting this fight by making it personal with a threat of “bringing a baseball bat” to the fight.  Sticking Alan with a few good shots on the feet, he was able to catch a knee to the stomach and trip me to the mat.  Reversing position I took half guard and started to pass to mount.  SECONDS from taking mount Alan tapped out to a “hurt rib”

*Personally* I think he took the “easy way out”–and I feel cheated out of glory.  Regardless of his lack of “gameness” my opponent showed, I take pride in the fact that I won this fight–every day in the gym for 8 weeks as I prepared for a war, and I feel content with taking the “Championship belt” home.

I want to thank all the guys who helped me in victory; Will Mcnamara, Ken Waterhouse, Victor Cui, Wiktor Svennson, Muhsin Corbbrey, Joe Ray, Andreas Hesselback, Kru Yod-Goi, Claire Haigh, Ross Dallow, Milkman, Brayden Summers—and all the rest of the guys who helped me get prepared for this new shinny belt :)

After my fight the crowd boo’d significantly–Looking back on the night–I displayed poor sportsmanship…but I was caught up in the moment…and for the first time in my 40+ fight career felt it was “personal”.  I refused to shake hands at the introduction, and stood over my opponent after the fight–letting him know I thought he took the “easy way” out.  The Singapore crowd didn’t know about the back-story involving the “Threats of Baseball bat-beatdown” by my opponents manager.  They also didn’t understand that Alan missed weight during the first weigh in’s…was 45 mins late to the rules meeting…walking out to the cage with a live band playing his entrance music it generally just made me want to whoop his ass all week.  Lesson learned–and the next time I compete for the Singaporean audience I’ll keep my emotions in check–making sure I display a professional attitude.

Anyways–had a few celebration beers already…and before I type too much I’m gonna log off ;)

***TOMORROW NIGHT…SEDUCTION DISCO…1030PM…anyone in PHUKET…come and celebrate the new win…bottle service, and party***
