Whoop…Whoop…got a new tattoo today~

Since my leg is busted up and I’m gonna be off it for a few days….I decided now would be the perfect time to get a tattoo done that I’ve been wanting for awhile…I’m sure my mom is thrilled her son has added more artwork to his naturally beautiful body.

Chart does really good work.  He runs a shop in Phuket Town and on each tattoo occasion has helped me sort through ideas and given is input as an artist.  Originally I thought about putting a Conch Seashell horn instead of the Shark.  After discussing the idea we picked a great white shark.  Really representing the Ying-and the-Yang of the ocean.  The octopus is very clever and witty-(think picking the World Cup Champions smart…) but not considered overly powerful.  It uses brains and agility to overcome it’s foe.  The shark is known for its power and aggressive attack.  Athleticism and strength combining with sheer violence.  I thought the two sea creatures embodied the essence of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai.  I also thought  the artwork was something worthy of display.

Not sure what the tattoo plans are–but if I do decide to get anymore work done…I’ll be returning to Golden Needle.
