What a good movie!!!

…While in Bangkok this past weekend, Ole Laursen recommended a new movie.  ‘The Fighter’ starring ‘Marky-Mark’ Wahlberg and Christian Bale.
The movie takes a look at the early years of boxer “Irish” Micky Ward and his brother who helped train him before going pro in the mid 1980s.  The movie is about much more than boxing, and showcases the dangers of drugs and struggles of broken families.  If you get a chance to see the movie—I thought it was worth the recommendation.

…Micky Ward…went on to become one of the most exciting names in boxing–and his 3 fights against the late Arturo Gatti…were 3 of the most violent boxing matches of ‘my era’—amazing displays of heart and determination..
