Tomorrow night MMA @jakeshieldsajj fights in @mmaworldseries
Tomorrow night Jake Shields will be stepping into the World Series of Fighting cage to face Brian Foster in a number once contender bout, with the winner fighting for the WSOF Welterweight belt.
Jake Shields was arguably the #2 Welterweight MMA Fighter, best American BJJ Grappler in the world for the better part of a decade, and since leaving the UFC has remained unbeaten with a quick win over Ryan Ford in his World Series of Fighting Debut.
While in San Fran, Shields was nice enough to invite me to stop into Tareq Azim’s Empower Gym. The facility was packed with great training partners including Palestinian UFC fighter Ramsey Nijem brother Adam and Relson Gracie’s son Rhalan Gracie. I got an opportunity to get in a round working with Shields and his wrestling, brazilian Jiu Jitsu is looking great, his cardio was on point, and he felt very strong, my prediction is a RNC or Head and Arm submission victory for Shields.
