TMT has a new purple belt…Congrats Wiktor Svennson!!!

Just wanted to say Congratulations to Wiktor Svennson on becoming my first Purple Belt this afternoon.  Wiktor was promoted to Blue Belt in Oct of 2008 under Tony Eduardo Lima, and started training almost 7 years ago, spending the past 2 years training full time at Tiger Muay Thai (twice a day…6 days a week).

He is 5-0 in Muay Thai and was 2-0 as an amateur in MMA before turning pro last year.  Wiktor is now 2-0 as a pro, with an upcoming MMA fight in Singapore for Martial Combat…which will be broadcast on ESPN to over 310 million homes in 24 different countries.  Besides Muay Thai and MMA, Wiktor has also competed in several grappling tournaments placing in both the Thailand Open and Nevertap Asia events.

I’m very proud to recognize Wiktor for all of his work, besides being such a dedicated athlete he is the example of what a teammate should be.  Wiktor shows up to the gym even when he doesn’t have fights on the calendar to help his training partners prepare for their bouts.  Part of the accomplishments you see Tiger Muay Thai earning the past couple of years are directly related to the hard work put in by Wiktor and the rest of the “core guys”—Congrats Wiktor.  Time to focus on Singapore now!
