For me this was a powerful video.

Anyone who grew up in the fight game knows the animal that is Mike Tyson…here is a guy that is the definition of a fighter–an absolute monster of ferociousness who probably would have been killing and robbing of it wasn’t for boxing.

Like everyone though he’s been forced to deal with himself…the real Mike.

Away from the stars, the fans, boxing…there is a person.

Under educated and allowed to be used as a money generating sideshow, Tyson is a guy who at 19 became the heavyweight champion of the world…only to go to prison and lose everything before humbling himself and realizing there is more to life the KO power and sexy women.

Away from the lights and cameras…many of the stars of fighting…surprisingly aren’t “good people”…it’s interesting to see the evolution a guy like Iron Mike has made as he’s transformed from a child star into an aging man.

While 6 days of sobriety is hardly worth a congratulations…the raw power of this video and the emotions behind it show he’s on his own personal journey of self improvement…and that deserves applause.
