Summary of Meeting the Great FEDOR In Dubai Yesterday! @glory_mma @kuwaitmma

Hmmm…The mythological creature.  Half human, half Russian assassin. We are talking about one of the ALL TIME GREAT, if not the greatest Bigman ever to fight in MMA. FEDOR!  Most of you guys who follow the blog are familiar with Nog.  Nog is my Persian Cat, who was named after Brazilian MMA Legend Nogueira.  A BJJ fighter, I’ve always considered Nogueira my favorite Heavyweight of all time.

While many of you may be new to MMA, I remember the AMAZING fights FEDOR and NOG put on back in Pride.

I was fortunate enough to get an Invite from Tam Khan to attend the press conference at the Russian Consulate in Dubai prior to the seminar.  Fedor was there promoting Glory MMA, M-1, and his other associates.

It was cool finally getting to meet the man in person.  While he fought a few times in the states, he never came to terms with the UFC at the end of his career and after Strikeforce decided to retire.  Both Nog and Fedor are guys who in their prime were the baddest men on the planet, it’s a shame many people weren’t fans long enough to see them in their primes.

Fedor was a charming killer, if you can say that.  Known for his stone face, he kept it pretty much through the entire time I saw him.  Witty, he was able to make people smile and laugh, but stone faced he would continue with his killing techniques during his seminar.

Following the seminar he answered questions and took photos with everyone who attended.  Tam has an amazing facility in Dubai, and I always love the opportunity to visit his place.  I look forward to having him out when Kuwait Combat Athletics opens early next year.  Was nice to get away from Kuwait a bit, even if it was only for the day :)
