Saying good bye to a friend
It was nice having Juliano Prado out here at the Tiger Muay Thai training facility. I’ve been living in Thailand a lil’ over 3 1/2 years~~~>and in that time..he’s one of the first training partners/instructors I’ve had come out from California.
Just seems with training for fights, having to work, or whatever else everyone has going on in their busy schedules…very few of my friends can find a way to manage the 25+ hour flight–in addition to a few weeks vacation to accommodate the travel. Juliano–runs No Limits gym, which keeps him pretty busy. In addition to teacing–his wife is 8+ months pregnant–and he just bought a new house, so it is a very busy time for him.
It was cool getting a chance to show him first hand what I’ve got going on out here in Thailand, and my students enjoyed the Free seminar he put together for them. Following the end of the Seminar he also promoted me to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt–which was a very monumental achievement for me.
Juliano got a chance to see many of the tourist sites on Phuket–including the Thai fights, Big Buddha, and most of the beaches. He also got in the opportunity to work in a lil’ training–taking several privates from 3x Rajadamnern Stadium Champion Pairot Wor Wolapon (AKA “Kru Goi”)
Juliano left a few days ago–returning to his wife, and moving into his new home…but I look forward to having more training partners from the USA making the trip out to Thailand–and training at Tiger Muay Thai. I’ve always got an open invitation to anyone who I’ve trained with in the past to come out here and learn in the land of smiles, the national sport of Muay Thai.
