PXC Vs. One FC Television ratings…

I saw this floating around on the web recently, and thought it was an interesting statistic.  While One FC has a much larger broadcast deal (even airing in the middle east on Abu Dhabi Sports), PXC certainly has a stronghold on the Philippines, with almost 4x’s as many people watching their events.

PXC CEO EJ Calvo released the AGB Neilsen TV ratings for the last 3 events, putting them side by side on a chart, and the difference in viewership within the Philippines is impressive.

Having worked with fighters who compete in both organizations, they are both unique experiences.  PXC originally started in Guam, before heading to the Philippines, while One FC started in Singapore, and has branched out throughout Southeast Asia.

Both promotions have leading fighters, with both organizations placing guys on the UFC Singapore event.  PXC’s former Welterweight champion Hyun Gyu Lim will actually be the main event in Singapore when he faces Tarec Saffiedine, while Brodhino of Evolve MMA recently announced his UFC contract and his intent to participate on the same event.

With news that One FC is close to signing former Bellator Champion, and USA Olympian Ben Askren, it seems things in the MMA market are really starting to heat up in Asia!

*EDIT* Anton Tbuena has told me that this chart shows a ‘tape delayed event’–and does not reflect the life viewing on STAR Sports.  I do not believe any ratings have been made public for those broadcasts.  While fighting for Martial Combat those numbers were never made public either.
