MMA Superstar fighting in Japan stops by morning BJJ class today!!

We had a great day of training this morning in the beginners grappling class.  We dissected the guillotine choke and discussed the differences between that and the 10-finger variation or ‘soup choke.  Drilled some transitions finishing the chokes from various angles, before getting in a circuit cardio training workout and some live grappling sparring.

Was a fun class–everyone is showing considerable improvement–Madeline and Kristina, the two female students are starting to hold their own during sparring =)

Yasubey Enomoto–of the Enomoto Dojo in Switzerland stopped by the class.  He is going to be a Tiger Muay Thai for the next month–and just got done fighting in the finals of the Sengoku Welterweight Grand Prix in Japan.  Outside of the UFC –Sengoku is one of the more prestigious promotions to fight for.  Losing in the finals to UFC Vet K-Taro, Enomoto still has a 3-1 record in Sengoku and they rewarded him with a  3 fight contract extension with the organization.
