Mma, muay Thai, boxing…all in kuala lumpur Malaysia today

Not a bad day of fights at the F3 event in Malaysia today.

Was nice to see an event conducted without all the political networking associated with several of the larger events the region has seen lately.

I worked as a Judge for a couple of the MMA fights, including Nick Harris from Muay Fits victory.

Also served as a Cornerman for the Ginger Ninja James Goyder’s boxing match…

Facing a Malaysian Amateur Champion, it was a four round bout which I had Goyder ahead 39-37 on my scorecards…which just about everyone including the ref and his opponent thought was the correct decision.

…until the announcer read the bout in favour of the Malaysian boxer…LOL…after the ref thinking the outcome was a fore-drawn conclusion and raises James Goyder’s hand.

Precluding the precarious verdict the score cards were reviewed–and while I’m skeptical, the promotion later ruled the bout a DRAW, further proving the notion that it’s impossible to win on the score cards in Asia if your white and locals are judging..lol.

Even with the questionable verdict, it was a good 4 round bout for Goyder and hopefully the match makes it to YouTube soon.

Fun afternoon, and the F3 event is a great opportunity for developing fighters to get their feet wet before moving on to larger regional promotions like URCC, Legacy FC, and the PXC.
