Merry Christmas, Feliz Natal
Christmas 2016, another year with a significant injury, I’m going to be honest and say “This Sucks”.
As difficult as this injury has been, I am reminded of 2012, when I spent almost the entire month of December in a wheelchair due to another freak accident…and how I was able to come through that injury with the support of loved ones and friends.
While some would allow the feelings associated with Injury to get them depressed, I’ve decided to focus my attention on the positives of the situation. I am lucky to be in the States, and surrounded by people who want nothing form me, other than to see me happy…and hopefully healthy again.
While my knee is suffering from a fractured femur, torn ACL, MCL, and Meniscus and I am awaiting surgery, I realize how fortunate I am to have the rest of my health and my families health this year. I am blessed with Friends who have been very supportive during this difficult transition period of my life, and I have an amazing Mom who has been helping me every step of the way.
I hope wherever you are in the world, whoever you spent this holiday with–I hope you appreciate the time with loved ones and realize that life is a precious gift.
