Last night we promoted an MMA fight here in Phuket at Bangla Stadium.  Ari from Australia fought Ed from the UK.  Ed won via RNC at 2:10 of the first round.  The fight was very fast paced, and the entire stadium went nuts when Ed hit Ari with a suplex over his shoulder. wait till you see the video of this SLAM…it reminded me of the Fedor/Randleman slam!!!

Today in class—we went over a few techniques that I would have used to hopefully “prevent” being suplexed.  Nathan Fredricks was in class—he recently fought at Martial Combat, and won at 14 seconds of round 1 via a KO SLAM (BRUTAL SLAM).  Nathan is from South Africa and Managed by Emily Kwan of Taiwan, he will be at the gym the next 10 days improving his techniques.
