…Matthew KO’s Komsorn!!

I just wanted to congratulate Matthew Semper on his recent performance. A few weeks back Matt beat Komsorn…and the video took a little while to get online…which is what took me so long to put it on my blog (Matt has actually won another fight since the Komsorn bout).

Komsorn is a tough circuit fighter…who owns a decision win over former Tiger Muay Thai fighter Cyrus Washington.

Having been at TMT for awhile now, Matt continues to improve…he has now had 20+ professional fights..and is looking for an opportunity to step up and compete against some of the other foreigners on the island of Phuket that are close to his size.

Following his win, Cyrus posted a note on his Facebook…

Honestly I find it disappointing that a former Teammate would go out of their way to post something negative on someone’s achievement.

After struggling against top Talent while representing TMT, Cyrus moved on and is now training at a gym located down the road.  Hopefully it is a better fit for him and he is a happier person because of the move.

Besides the two losses on Sherdog, Cyrus suffered MMA defeats in Uzbekistan and Russia.  With a disappointing 0-4 record in MMA, I hear he has rededicated himself to Muay Thai.

…it will be interesting to see how well Cyrus performed on the upcoming season of the Contender Asia, where he represented the USA.

….The point of my post really wasn’t to start drama—rather it was to stick up for a teammate.  We all lose.  We all win.  It is how you handle yourself when you do those things that people respect.
