Marcos Oliveira @readyfg ADFC_MMA @GFC_MMA Comes to #q8 @arabsmma

World Champion BJJ Black Belt and MMA fighter Marcos Oliveira will be in town this weekend! Sponsored by MMA Clothing company Ready Fight Gear Marcos will be returning to the Octagon this December in Abu Dhabi Fighting Championship as he competes for the Heavyweight Championship.   While at Tiger Muay Thai I got the opportunity to have him and 5 other black belts from the emirates host a one day grappling seminar.  He’s got some legit stuff

Marcos will serve as supervising referee for the upcoming GFC Grappling tournament being held this weekend in Kuwait.  This tournament is unique in the fact that it is 1 round of 6 minutes, no points,–at the end of time no submission, referee picking winner.  I love the concept of No Points tournaments because I feel they open up the stalling game.  I’ve done similar tournaments in the states and they have always been fun.  With this being the first ever Nogi tournament held in Kuwait it’s cool seeing GFC and WAWAN PROTEIN bring professionals with experience to help coordinate the days events.

I am hoping to have Mohamad Ali compete in preparation to his GFC 4 bout.  He is looking to use the competition as a learning experience and will probably compete in the beginner 5 min division.  Anyone who wants to support the event, I’m sure they will have spectator space as it is at the same Judo facility we have been running the intro classes.
