Lemme understand this…YOU can PUNCH ME…but I can’t punch you?!
Yep. That was today’s drill.
During the afternoon MMA class we ran this drill….
Fighter A–Their goal was to initiate the clench. By effectively utilizing angles to minimize the space, fighter ‘A’ will capitalize on timing, forcing the bout into a clench.
Fighter B–The goal was to keep their space, effectively use angles and combinations to attack both the body and head of fighter ‘A’. Striking and ring movement should be used as tools to keep the bout outside of the clench.
