Legend FC fighter Rob Hill stops by @tigermuaythai for some sparring with JJ Ambrose

Already in Phuket preparing for his upcoming Legend FC bout against Korean Fighter Yui Chul Nam, Australian Lightweight  Rob Hill of the ‘Hitsquad’ stopped by Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket  for a sparring session with TMT wrestling coach JJ Ambrose.

Despite the fact that Hill has been suffering from a hip- flexor injury, and dealing with adjustments to the humidity of the islands, he was able to get in 5 rounds of 3 minutes worth of sparring.

Using the 16oz gloves, and shin pads, the two mixed in their Muay Thai with takedowns and submissions.  Hill’s upcoming bout will be in a Ring, which is why these two guys didn’t use the cage at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket for the training session.

Rob is still 3 1/2 weeks out from his bout against Nam, and hopefully will get an opportunity to work in with the competition team at TMT a few more times before he heads off to Hong Kong China for his Legend FC #1 contender bout.

Similar to TMT alumni Muhsin Corbbrey, Rob Hill lost a controversial decision to Adrian Pang in the CFC promotion.  If Hill is able to win his next fight, it will set up a rematch against Adrian Pang for the Legend FC LW Championship belt.

It is nice to see two LW fighters able to put their ego’s aside and help one another in preparation for their upcoming competitions.  As the old saying goes..Steel sharpens steel.#BOOM
