Large group of certified #trxtraining officials stop by @tigermuaythai today!

Phew…talk about a BUSY WEEK!!

After the Fundraiser seminar in BKK Monday–I flew to Phuket to give a seminar to 35+ TRX certified instructors at Tiger Muay Thai.

Looking to get in a great workout, work on some team building techniques, and continue growing as athletes–the group was lead by several founding members of TRX and consisted of a grueling workout.

Splitting the large group into two smaller ‘teams’—the workouts consisted primarily of MMA–and Muay Thai based exercises.  The two groups then switched until they had completed both circuits.

Group 1 (MMA Focus)

Introduction (2mins)

Dynamic Warmup-Sports specific exercise warmup (15 mins)

*Water break*

Explanation of Double leg takedown with Practical application (5 mins)

Explanation of sprawl w/ practical application (5 mins)

-5 minute round Shadow Box-Double Leg-Sprawl drill (rotate with partner)

Explanation of escaping your back with an opponent standing over you

-5 minute round leg press- stand and base- punch combo-sprawl-replace your guard

Group 2

Dynamic warmup/stretch

Explanation of proper Muay Thai stance–explanation of elbow, punch, knee, and kick

group divides in half–1st set does 3×3 mins of Muay Thai padwork while the other does 3×3 of bags work. 1 minute break with 20 pushups

Explanation of clench followed by a demonstration by the Thai trainers (5 mins)

Partner clinching drill- practical application (10 mins)

*****With UFC Star Brian Ebersole and Korean MMA fighter Tommy Yang leading the groups–it was an amazing evening…I was really impressed with the performance of the athletes****
