Jan. 8th I’m competing in Macao China*

It’s  an 8 man professional grappling tournament in the ‘Las Vegas’ of Asia…better known as Macao China.

January 8th is a HUGE WEEKEND for Combat Sports in Macao China.  During the day the ‘Copa De Macao‘  grappling event will be taking place.  The event is going to be a huge Gi competition held at the VENETIAN  Hotel and Casino in Macao.  Immediately following the tournament will be a professional 8 man DEEP X Grappling tournament with the winner taking home $1,500 USD….I still have a few sponsorship options available.  Email me if you want to hear exactly what your company gets in exchange for support. Makoto Ogasawara- a newly promoted BJJ Black Belt representing Taiwan BJJ.  Makoto is a Brown Belt world Champion who won gold at the Rickson Cup (Japan) and the All Brazilian Championships.

Marcos Escobar of Checkmat Malaysia- also a BJJ Black Belt who was an ADCC Abu Dhabi Champion in 2001.

Bobby Gerrits of the Ultra Fight Gym in Bangkok Thailand- He’s the heaviest guy in the tournament and a veteran of the ADCC and US team Trials.

Robert Souza- is a BJJ Brown Belt who has won the mundials as a blue, purple, and brown.  He also just recently won the Pro Abu Dhabi Gi tournament.

Makoto Ikuta- another BJJ Black Belt who won the All Japan Championship and Copa De Hong Kong events.

Uruka Sasaki is a rising sensation in the grappling circuit out of Japan who has already competed and won for the DEEP X Grappling event.

…another fighter will be added into the tournament…but as of now is “TBA”

After the DEEP X Grappling event, the Venetian will play host to the very first DEEP MMA event held in China. Deep is one of the most well known MMA promotions in Japan, and this fight card is going to showcase some of their top talent including; Yusuke Kawaguchi, Kazuhisa Tazawa, Ryuta Sakurai, Yuya Shirai, Marcos Souza, Luiz Andrade, and Andy Wang.
