J-Money…a day in the life of a man who lost 145lbs at Tiger Muay Thai this year!!!

This is a tough weekend.  My best friend from the states is heading home…and one of my closest friends from the Gym is returning back to the U.K.

….Argh!  That is one of the things that I dislike about living in Thailand…everyone comes–and everyone leaves.  You are constantly having to say goodbye to your best friend. —Let’s not even talk about the ‘dating’.

There are not a ton of jobs that foreigners can earn an income from in Thailand.  Teaching, Diving, and Entrepreneurism are the main ways people ind employment here.

….With people having to come out on a ‘savings’—eventually that money runs out–or the time off work–or some other ‘daily chore’ gets in the way.

J-Money (James Mason) came to Tiger Muay Thai with the goal of losing 100 KG.  He was morbidly obese and wanted to change the quality of his living.  Working (training) as hard as any professional UFC fighter would–in preparation for a Championship–Big James became ‘Medium’ James.  Losing 66 KG–>he successfully used diet/portion control/exercise/ to make life changes and start improving the quality of his life.  145lbs…That’s amazing.

Tonight we are taking Medium James out to an all you can eat BBQ…(I know…great friends right?)—and then we will be celebrating his last Saturday night in Thailand in Patong.  I’m looking forward to celebrating his achievements…but I have to admit I’m a bit bummed that this is going to be our last Saturday night–out on the town—for awhile.
