I think you guys are under-estimating my sneakyness!!

Good training session today in the PM class.  Everybody got in 3roundsx5minutes of Muay Thai shadow boxing, 3×5 of Muay Thai padwork…and then we worked  specifically 3×5 of just boxing.

Following the evening standup, we worked a few grappling techniques.  I showed a submission series that I learned while I was still training back in California.  The series starts while your opponent is in the “Turtle” position.  You trap an arm, and attack with a crucifix.  From the crucifix you transition to a couple of options for securing the Rear-Naked-Choke…and from those options, you can transition to a modified Guillotine choke.

Very sneaky series of moves.  I did this same series during a grappling tournament in 2008 against Taiki Kamamoto of Japan.  Kamamoto is currently a Brown Belt teaching at the Gracie Barra Japan academy.

—Off to eat dinner now—then heading to Bangla Stadium to watch Muhsin Corbbrey’s fight.  Prolly gonna do a lil’ celebrating in Patong after.
