I can’t believe my childhood house is for sale!!!

Growing up…as a young kid…I remember my mom always working towards ‘purchasing a house’.

Raising me as a single mother–before eventually remarrying…she worked diligently to save as much money as possible, with the idea of eventually providing me with a “home”.  While living with family friends—my mom was saving money for the new house…when she met my eventual “Dad”.

…Merging two families (he had his own kids from a previous marriage)…wasn’t easy.  Early on we lived in a trailer while they paid down some bills and positioned themselves financially to buy the “house of our dreams”.

Moving me into a new school after the X-mas break in the 5th grade…My mom finally had bought the house she promised.

We moved “WAY OUT WEST”—into the Estrella Mountain development in Goodyear Arizona.  The house was built brand new, had a pool, and was in a nice–developing neighborhood.

Even though…I’ve been out of the house for awhile…(Next year is my 10 year High School reunion)…I’m a bit surprised to actually see them selling the place.  My mom is now retired, and they are looking at relocating out of Arizona.  *LOL…Don’t most people retire TO MOVE to Arizona?!?!

With how busy my schedule is…and how far away my folks live…I only get the opportunity to “go home” every once in-awhile.  It’s gonna be weird being in Arizona next time…and not having my “childhood home” to go back to.
