I can hear my heart beat with the radio on…F*%& You!!!

Just got the new(er) Cee Lo Green mixtape downloaded from Pirate Bay. Cee lo is an Atlanta Georgia based artist who has been one of my favorites in the music industry for sometime.  The mixtape has been out about two month, but living in Thailand I’m a lil’ slow to get my downloads done :)

Cee lo along with T~Mo, Big Gipp and Khujo formed the very eclectic music group Goodie Mob.

As a solo artist he hasn’t enjoyed the same mainstream success, however Cee lo’s singing is unique in the fact that he finds ways to emphasis socio-political issues, while integrating genuine soul in his songs.  Cee lo is prolly best known for his collaboration with DJ Danger Mouse in forming the group Gnarls Barkley.  Their smash hit “Crazy” in 2006 was the first single to go to #1 in the UK based on digital download sales alone, that album sold over 1 million copies in the USA.

My favorite hit off the album so far has been “You don’t shock me anymore” which tackles the outrageous one-upsmanship of entertainers hunting down their 15 minutes of fame and how that has desensitized the public into finding the most lewd of lewd behavior normal.

Two weeks ago (on the 19th) Cee lo released his newest single “Fuck You” onto youtube.  The “song” was released ahead of his solo album called “The lady Killer”.  “Fuck You” has been an instant hit…registering over two million plays in less than a week on Youtube! The entire CD  should be released Dec. 7th by Elektra Records, and if the Stray Bullets Mixtape is anything to judge it by…it’s going to be a classic.
