Known as one of the top American Black Belts currently competing in Submission Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Dan submitted PRIDE FC and STRIKEFORCE Heavyweight fighter Sergei Kharitonov during last weekends Thailand Open.

An accomplished Judo Competitor, and a Matt Serra-Renzo Gracie-Nick Serra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Tiger Muay Thai is honored to have the opportunity to host such an accomplished competitor/instructor at the gym.

Those of you familiar with Tiger Muay Thai might recognize Dan Simmler‘s name as he submitted BJJ Brown Belt and TMT assistant grappling coach Andrew Gardineer during last years ELITE nogi division at the Thailand Open. *Sorry Andrew…lol*—(On a side note…Drew Jitsu took a Gold and Silver at the Southwest Classic last weekend)
