How many people know the first ‘momma’ for TMT?!

Not many people realize how empty ‘Soi Tad-Ied’…the street TMT is located on…was in 2007 when I first came to Tiger Muay Thai.

‘Forrest Bungalow’ had 10 rooms–no pool and there were a couple of bungalows behind TMT for people to stay at.

No tony’s–No Ja-Ja–No CoCo or Floraville.–not even Dragon Muay Thai.

Literally ‘Forest Bungalow’ was the ONLY place to eat on the road (TMT didn’t even have a place to eat)

…Forest Bungalow had a lady named Palek who everyone called ‘MOMMA’…thats how the place got the nickname ‘mommas’.

Palek eventually left to open her own restaurant in Kata—and Forest Bungalow got to keep her nickname as return guest continued to call it ‘Mommas’

Palek is amazing…remembers EVERYONE’S name…

When I was staying @’Mommas’ she even made me soup and brought it to my room because she heard I was sick.

Palek is EASILY one of the best cooks on the island.

Anyone interested in checking out her restaurant…it’s in Kata…ask me and I’ll give u directions…anyone who remembers Palek is ‘old school’ as they say in hip hop :)
