Guess who has the shortest recorded reach in the history of the UFC…

According to Fight Metric Fun and Vaughn Anderson–it is a tie between Andy Wang and Jason Reinhardt who both measured 64′

Other fun facts that I found—the average reach for a fighter in the UFC is 73 inches.

*The longest recorded reach in the UFC belongs to Tim Sylvia at 86 inches.  These measurements are done before each fight–and Sylvia’s reach has also been recorded at 84” and 5x’s at 80.

*The fighter with the longest, consistently measured reach is Jon Jones.  84.5′

*The largest discrepancy between a fighter’s shortest and longest UFC measured reach is 11.5 inches.  Jorge Gurgel was reported to have a 78.5 inch reach at UFC 63.  10 events later at UFC 73, his reach was recorded at 67′.  The 5 other times Gurgel fought in the UFC his reach was recorded at 69′.

And the last fact of the day….The most consistently measured fighter in UFC History…which I’m sure is no shock to anyone…Jeremy Horn!!!  He has measured 6x’s being reported at 75 inches every time.
