Gracie Barra BJJ Black Belt Prof. Dimitrios Tsitos Seminar @kuwaitMMA

Was another great afternoon of training as Gracie Barra Greece BJJ Black Belt Dimitrios Tsitos was back in Kuwait teaching as seminar with kuwait MMA and Combat Athletics Kuwait.

Professor Tsitos is currently in the UAE teaching as a Black Belt in the The “Jiu-Jitsu Military program” developed by Palms Sport LLC, as an initiative from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and with the support of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. More info

The BJJ initiative in the UAE is something that is very unique, and a cultural idea that I’m hoping other gulf nations will develop.  The fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu encourage so many life skills, that it would be amazing to see the same BJJ revolution Abu Dhabi has experienced in Kuwait one day.

Professor Tsitos showed a great set of wrestling offensive, defensive, and counter fighting that linked very well into the techniques shown during his first seminar.  Those of you who missed either of the last two…need to make sure you attend his next seminar in Kuwait, so that you don’t fall behind on the change of attacks!!

Also dropping into the seminar was Ajarn KhunSuek Thanikul Gym.  KhunSuek is the new Muay Thai instructor working with the guys at Combat Athletics, and will be giving a special class tomorrow from 5:30-6:45 in Sabah Al Salem Judo and Taekwondo Hall.  A veteran of 300+ fights, KhunSuek has won fights and taught internationally for over 40 years…if you come…bring gloves–if you have shin pads, mouth guards, hand wraps, bring those too…if not..come and we’ll work around the workout.
