Dr. Freeze….

Had a good night out last night.  The BBQ Beatdown was fun. We ended up promoting two MMA fights.

In the first bout, Daneil Lek faced Regean.  It was a classic grappler Vs. striker matchup.  Daniel, feeling a bit ill before the bout went ahead and fought despite the fact that he was running a fever and had a headache entering the ring.  Getting taken down early, his lack of grappling showed as he struggled to keep Regean from raining down some quality GNP. Tapping out with about 40 seconds left in the round, Daniel will hopefully use the experience to motivate him into training consistently in grappling.

The second bout featured Jeremy Hassan Vs. David Kinkead.  Very good fight. Going into the third round it was one round apiece and anyone’s fight.  David got the initial takedown in the final round, before being reversed.  Jeremy set up a very skillful crucifix forcing me to stop the fight by TKO.

After the BBQ we headed out to Patong.  For my “first night on the town”…it was pretty tame.  Walked around for awhile, stopping in to see a few friends before ending up with Ari, Milky, J~$, Brayden, Jarhead, and a few other people at a table inside Hollywood.  After a long day, I called it an early night and ended up cutting out a little after 2:00.
