#ChoeungEk #Phnompenh #cambodia was emotional

Visited Choeung Ek today while in the Capitol of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Probably the most known “killing field” of the Khmer Rouge Military that murdered more than a million people from 1975-1979.

Today Choeng Ek is a memorial marked by a Buddhist stupa housing over 5,000 skulls belonging to some of the 8,895 bodies of men, women, and children found inside mass graves at the former orchard site.
