“Bra Boy” and Australian professional rugby league footballer Reni Maitua stops by the gym

…Growing up in the United States–we don’t get a chance to watch much “Rugby League”.

Now that I’ve moved to Thailand—we have a ton of Australian tourist who stop by the gym, and I’m discovering how popular of a sport it is!

Today professional Footie Reni Maitua stopped by to watch the Morning Grappling class.  Maitua trains MMA with UFC Vet Jamie Te Huna and in 2004 won the premiership playing for the Bulldogs RLFC.

Reni Maitua is also a member of the famed “Bra Boy” surf gang–a gang that was the subject of an Internationally distributed movie in 2008.  For all the bad wrap he has received, and his “bad boy” reputation…he has been a great training partner while staying at Tiger Muay Thai–and is a popular guest amongst the trainers.

Maitua is going to be heading to Indonesia for a surf trip—but is planning on meeting up with me in Singapore to support me as I fight for the Martial Combat superfight belt in July!
