Asia has a new #bjj purple belt!

Tonight after nearly 3 years as a BJJ Black Belt I awarded my third purple belt to K1 fighter and MMA Champion Ole Laursen.

Having moved to Thailand right after Ole fought Caol Uno and Genki Sudo I’ve seen Ole transition from strictly a Muay Thai fighter into a complete MMA champion submitting highly regarded Edu Pachu to win his belt.

I’ve been Fortunate enough to corner him several times as a coach, and he truly is a fighters fighter!!

Besides training with me Ole has worked with Bebees Schmall, Kazuto Senga, Malik, Eduardo, Vaughn Anderson, Eduardo Bezerra, and Legacy Gym Black Belt Marcus Waters…to say the promotion is long overdue would be an understatement.

Having been here a little over a week rolling everyday and only catching him a few times it didn’t feel right leaving with him still as a blue…lol.

Ole has become one of my closest friends in Thailand and its an honor to share the martial arts journey with him and all the guys at legacy gym.
