All Day—Errrr day…

Phew.  Today, was my last 2-a-day training session. *Can I admit sumfin*…I’M GLAD.

It’s a great feeling to know that you have trained hard.  When you have as many fights as I do—sometimes you take a fight, knowing you haven’t prepared properly.  That is one of the worst feelings in the world, stepping into the ring–worried your not going to have cardio–or trying to train up until the “last day” in an attempt to “cram” a training camp into the last few days.

Martial Combat was kind enough to delay my bout—and give me an opportunity to have deviated septum surgery (repairing a broken nose complimentary of Joe Riggs).

Following that surgery I helped Wiktor Svennson get ready for his Martial Combat bout—immediately followed by preparing Joe Ray and Muhsin Corbbrey for theirs.  Now that it has been my turn to get ready, everyone has played their part in helping me get in the best shape of my life.  Randy Hale hooked me up with a running program–and Milkman, Brayden have been my Hemorrhoid Hill partners.  Wiktor has taken over my morning grappling classes–giving me the opportunity to train full time.  Muhsin, Joe Ray,Damo Rooney, have all been great sparring partners/coaches while Kru Yod has helped me fine tune my standup.

Tomorrow will be a 40 minute circuit training session, and then Sunday I’ll do 5 rounds of intense MMA “Shadow Boxing”.  Here is one–of the 5 rounds of padwork I did during the evening training session today…It was sooo freaking hot outside!!!
